About this deal

Word leaked out in the UK papers that Craig wouldn’t come out as a winner from his first 6 BRIT Award nominations before the show was even broadcasted.

Great read if you want to know more about Craig's background, especially if you are a big fan like I am. In 2017, Craig announced the release of the seventh studio album, 'The Time Is Now', which was released in January 2018 and featured hits like 'Heartline' and 'I Know You' featuring Bastille. In Craig’s much-anticipated first book – part-memoir, part self-help – he shares his journey of reinvention, self-love and acceptance, and the lessons he’s learned along the way. In Craig's much-anticipated first book - part-memoir, part self-help - he shares his journey of reinvention, self-love and acceptance, and the lessons he's learned along the way. Craig David was among the talented artists who performed at the Platinum Party at the Palace concert as part of Queen Elizabeth II's Jubilee celebrations on 4th June.

But I feel privileged now - after a lot of interesting twists and turns along the way - to share my journey with you. It’s a series of lessons that I’ve learnt over the years that have helped shape who I am today,” he continued. to lean into mental health and depression and lack of boundaries, saying yes when you really meant no and being a people pleaser, impostor syndrome; so many things that were just a human-to-human connection that I felt if I spoke about that, that is something that can hopefully help people and that’s a book that’s worthwhile to make. The video showed the singer getting emotional as he took the book out of the box and looked at the quotes on the back, from the likes of Social Chain founder Steven Bartlett, TV presenter Fearne Cotton, and author Sonia Choquette. Craig David has been in the music industry for an impressive 22 years, and brought out his first book What's Your Vibe?

As you read through the book, you’ll see how the titles of his songs are cleverly woven into his stories. Craig had been teasing his new book, which includes stories of his life right back from his childhood to the present day, from September. I’m still learning, still a journeyman, with much to still absorb; still making mistakes, still striving. In opening up about how he overcame these obstacles, Craig shares his insight and provides practical advice that will help us to navigate the daily challenges we all face. My one criticism was it was sometimes very deep around the self help elements, I would've preferred it to be just a normal autobiography.Since announcing his new book, fans and celebrities have been commenting on Craig's video, with Kirsty Gallagher saying: 'Congratulations, holding your finished book in your hands for the first time is the best feeling ever! I am now in a place where I've learned to have good vibes, to be true to myself, but it hasn't always been this way. It was really great reading the first 100 pages (or so) of the book, it brought back a lot of nostalgia of the noughties. Aged 18, he burst onto the scene with the garage classic 'Rewind' and, following the phenomenal success of his debut album Born To Do It, he has continued to top the charts over the past 22 years, amassing 17 million album sales and over 1 billion streams, to date.

He begins with his appearance on ABC’s Good Morning America performing I Know You , where at the time – to no knowledge to the viewers or the GMA staff for that matter – he was experiencing some severe back pains due to overworking himself while promoting his album at the time, The Time is Now. I'm still learning, still making mistakes, but I feel ready now - after a lot of twists and turns along the way - to share my journey with you. However, I was not so much into the self help sections of the book because it feels like he takes normal everyday feelings and blows them into a life changing epiphany. It’s a series of lessons learned from a life lived, many of which I’ve only realised in retrospect – after all, it is only through living that we can learn and grow. Thus, making him more at peace with himself while still being open to learning from experiences in the future. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and admire the way he talks about his mental health and the struggles he has faced, including being bullied at school. I looked at one of these videos and found myself, after seeing a fair number of comments, to be in a small majority who didn’t find this at all funny.

Craig's first album was definitely hard to beat and his second, 'Slicker Than Your Average', was released in 2002.

Wrote a book on Monday, took it to the publisher on Tuesday, making sales by Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, he chilled on Sunday!
